Dr. Sunita Purushottam, Managing Director at Global Building Performance Network (GBPN), is a sustainability leader with 3 decades of global experience across India, the UK, the USA, Mexico, and South Africa. She brings professional technical expertise in environmental impact assessment, air pollution modelling, GHG inventories, carbon neutrality, waste management, and ESG technology platforms. As Chief Sustainability Officer at Mahindra Lifespaces, she placed the company on the global sustainability map, pioneering India’s first net-zero energy building, Eden and the country’s first zero-waste-to-landfill city, setting benchmarks in the built environment. She co-founded a sustainability tech startup and led the Mahindra-Teri Centre of Excellence. She was instrumental in establishing the Decarbonisation Business Charter, an intersegmental platform for decarbonising the real estate value chain.
