Sr Program Associate, WRI India

Dr. Amit Passi is a Senior Program Associate – Air Quality with the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India. He leads initiatives to tackle air pollution in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Dr. Passi works with government agencies and holds an integrated M.S. Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, specialising in Air Quality Management, from IIT Madras. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at IIT Madras, contributing to the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). His expertise spans indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring, air pollution modelling, personal and occupational exposure assessment, air pollutant characterisation, thermal comfort, and health risk analysis. He was honoured as a fellow of the Wessex Institute of Great Britain for his research contributions and has served as Secretary of the Air Quality Management Association (AQMA).
